Although students are not required to undergo one year of preparatory course, all students will be taught the Russian language during the first three years of education along with other subjects. Opting for Russian medium, the duration of the course will be seven years. The first year will be mandatory ‘Preparatory faculty’ where all students will study the Russian language extensively before proceeding with the rest of the course.
Eligibility criteria for studying medicine in Russia
Although there are no entrance examinations, the students' admission process is on first come first serve basis. The focus during selection is on two important parameters — grades and age.
Depending on the category of the students, the marks average plays a vital role in the admission procedure.
General category — 50% marks in Science(Physics/Chemistry/Biology) and English in Class XII
Reserved category — Aggregate 40% marks average.
The age limit for a student to become eligible for the admission process is 17 years. He/she must be of age or will complete the age on/before 31st December of the admission year as eligibility for admission.
